1  Q. What is fitness walking?

    A. Fitness walking is a healthy way of walking.  It burns          almost the same amount of calories as running, but            is much easier on the body.  It tones muscles in the            buttocks, thighs, hips, shoulders, abs and upper                back. 

2  Q. Will it be possible to have a free trial session?

    A.  Yes. We offer a one time free trial session.

3  Q.  Where are you located?

    A.  We are conveniently located at Cabrillo Ball Park

         on Cabrillo  Blvd in Santa Barbara.

4  Q.  Do you have to be fit before joining?

    A.  No. This program will help you get fit. Your pulse

         and breathing rate will be monitored and you will             be placed in a group according to your fitness level.

5  Q.  What should I wear?

    A.  Good walking shoes and comfortable exercise


6  Q.  I have some health issues.  Will I still be able to


    A.  Yes. As long as you have consulted with your                   doctor before starting any exercise routine. We will           also determine your fitness level after filling out our             health questionnaire.

7  Q.  When are your walking sessions being held?

    A.  Our morning walking sessions are held on                       Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8:15 am. 

8  Q.  What does it cost to join?

    A.  The cost is $50.00 per month.  There are four                   payment options. 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or             12 months.  You will receive a discount if you sign             up for 3, 6 or 12 months.  We accept cash,                   check, debit or credit cards.

               1 month ............................$50.00

               3 months  ....................... $140.00

               6 months  ....................... $280.00

             12 months  ....................... $560.00

9  Q.  How does WALK 4 fitness and health exactly              work?

    A.   Your fitness and health status will be assessed and             you will be assigned to an exercise level that you             are comfortable with. Each session starts with                   stretching. In the beginning you will walk                         laps and increase your time and distance                         gradually. Once fit enough, you will advance to               the pre-marked mapped routes.
